The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.
To Braydon and Teagan,
We are very sorry to hear of your father's passing. Please know that if you ever need anything, we are always here for you.
With love and sympathy

During this difficult time I would like to extend my most heartfelt sympathies. Shawn was a friend during college, and we played Rugby together. He was a beautiful friend who always was there for me. I apologize for not being able to make it to the services, and hope that you all are comfortaded by the fact that he is in a better place. We had storms last night here, the wind was crazy, it rained hard, as I went to bed and said a prayer for Shawn I prayed that he be greeted with the same compassion and friendship he had shown to so many here on earth. As I awoke this morning, we were greeted to a beautiful, and full double rainbow! Pretty amazing, and I hope you take solace in this "sign" of peace. I can only hope that after this tremendous storm, you're rainbow shows just as brightly as Shawn lived.
During this difficult time I would like to extend my most heartfelt sympathies. Shawn was a great friend to many of us here at The Hartford. By all accounts he was a great Father and Family member. He will be missed.
I went to CCSU and played on the women's rugby team for a couple years. Shawn was one of the first guys I met on the men's team and I always remembered that he was super friendly and a really nice guy. He was also in my Communication 101 class and helped me prepare for one of our first assignments which was to give a presentation in front of the class for 10 minutes. Since this was the first time I had done any type of public speaking I was so nervous. I made this presentation about my parents cat named Camellia. Obviously it wasn’t a crowd pleaser and since I was so nervous it was a disaster. When I looked out to the crowd of faces I was presenting to, Shawn looked back and smiled - or maybe it wasn’t a full smile, in hindsight he was most likely laughing but it eased my stress and made me feel like I could breathe again. Of course when it was Shawn’s turn to present he brought a rugby ball in, passed it around and gave an informative, interesting and charming presentation.
I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
During this difficult time we would like to extend our most heartfelt sympathies. We are very sorry we are unable to attend Shawn's services but please know you are in our prayers.
