Barbara T. "Barb"  Young (Corbo)
Barbara T. (Corbo) Young, of Enfield entered peacefully into eternal life at the age of 78 on Monday July 19, 2010 at Blair Manor. She was the beloved wife of Harry Young, who she met over ham & eggs one night after work, having been introduced by her cousin, Bobby. Barbara was born on February 11, 1932 in New York, New York daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Domsalski) Corbo and resided in Enfield for the past 54 years. She was employed as a service representative with SNET for many years. In her leisure time she enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, watching Judge Judy & South Park and loved her popsicles and yogurts. Barb was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 10219 and St. Martha’s Church. Along with her loving husband, Harry of 55, years she is survived by a daughter, Kathy Souza and husband, Paul of Ware, MA, a son, John Young and wife, Debbie of Enfield and a daughter, Susan Young also of Enfield., Her greatest joy in life was her two grandchildren, Joshua Young and Alissa Young and great grandson, Tyler and is also survived by many cousins. Besides her parents Barb was predeceased by her brother, Frank Corbo.
The Young family would especially like to thank all the staff at Blair Manor for taking such good care of Barbara.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Friday (July 23, 2010) from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (July 24, 2010) with the funeral procession forming at 9:00 a.m. from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels to St. Martha’s Church 214 Brainard Rd. Enfield for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial followed by interment in St. Adalbert’s Cemetery, Enfield.
