Obituary for Marie Riley (Reale)
Marie (Reale) Riley, 90, of Springfield, MA, passed on to eternal life on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Baystate Medical Ctr. Springfield, MA. She was the devoted wife of the late Clifford Riley. She was born on December 6, 1926, in Enfield, CT, to the late Luigi and Pace (Manischalchi) Reale. Marie attended public schools in Suffield, CT., raised her family in Enfield, and resided in Springfield for the last decades of her life. She had retired from the R.E Phelan Co. in East Longmeadow, MA, after many years of service.

She was founder and president of Thompsonville Little League Women’s Auxiliary.
Marie is survived by her four sons: Dan Riley & wife Lorna of Vista, CA; Tim Riley & wife Hayden of Carlsbad, CA; Cliff Riley & wife Marilyn of Thousand Oaks, CA; and Robert Riley of Stafford Springs, CT; also her five beloved grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sister, Jean Bouthiette of Enfield, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her nine brothers: Joseph, Rosario, Jerry, Tommy, Al, Jimmy, Charlie, Armand & Eddie as well as two sisters, Lillian Schreffler & Rose Lamagna.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Thursday, July 13, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels Enfield, CT. Funeral Services will be on Friday July 14, 2017 with the funeral procession forming at 9 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Patrick Church, Enfield for a Mass of Catholic Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will then follow in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery.
