Condolence: My condolences to Gar'y's family and friends. I knew him years ago and was surprised to read he had recently passed. He was a good man and will be missed by all that knew him.

Condolence From: Nick Bellantoni
Condolence: It was with great sadness that I learned of Gary's passing. As State Archaeologist, Gary assisted me in many field excavations, including the repatriation of Henry 'Opukaha'ia and the Enfield Shaker Site. Gary and I both served in the U.S. Navy at about the same time, so we always had a lot to talk about at our "digs." His passion for archaeology was evident in sharing his love for the science by developing field opportunities for Enfleld students for many years. He was a dedicated and valued fieldworker.

Gary was an important member of the volunteers that assisted our office and his efforts helped to save and document many archaeological sites in the CT River Valley. We will miss him and are saddened by his death.

Our deepest sympathies to his mother, family and friends.
