Sylvia   (White) Egan
Sylvia (White) Egan, 82, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Life, on Tuesday May 2, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Residence/Little Sister of the Poor with her loving family at her side. She was the beloved wife of the late William Egan. Sylvia was born on Dec. 4,1934 in Enfield, the daughter of the late Carl and Dorothy (Crane) White and was a life-long resident. Sylvia retired from Hallmark Card, Inc. after 25 years of service and was a member of the Retiree’s Club. She was a parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church and was very active on various committees along with the Home Front Program, a member of the Enfield Garden Club and St. Jeanne Jugan Society. Sylvia enjoyed gardening, as well as spending time with her family and was an avid UCONN Women’s Basketball fan.
Sylvia is survived by her three loving and devoted children; Michael Egan and Cheryl Chiasson of Somers, Patricia Egan and Steven Masterson of Oak Bluffs, MA and Michele Wilcox and husband Mark of Enfield, her five cherished grandchildren; Kelly, Patrick, Shannon, Jack and Shannon, five great grandchildren; Cheyenne, Logan, Maddie, Riley & Colin. She is also survived by a sister Patricia Marinone of Windsor Locks along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased by her two brothers; Robert White and Carl White, Jr.
Her family will receive relatives and friends on Monday May 8, 2017 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield. Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday May 9, 2017 with the funeral procession forming at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Patrick Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Enfield. The family has requested memory donations in her memory be made to St. Joseph Residence/Little Sisters of the Poor 1365, Enfield St. Enfield, CT 06082.
