Obituary for Christine H. Jennings

Christine H. Jennings
Christine H. Jennings, 79, passed away on Sunday April 23rd, 2017. She was surrounded by the love of her family and greeted with open arms of Jesus and her beloved son Vincent. Her favorite color was “happy” yellow. She loved to sing and whistle. She loved to dance, especially on the beach. She found great pleasure in cooking and gardening. She had the greenest thumb that could grow anything bigger and more beautiful than you could find anywhere. She had an amazing faith that never waivered, she could rely on all her life. Her greatest pleasure above all else was her family. “Her immortality”. She always had an open- door policy to her heart and home. She fed family, friends and strangers. There wasn’t a thing she wouldn’t do to help someone in need.
Christine is survived by her children; Albert (Diana) Valentine of Bristol, Laura Valentine (Michael Hoyt) of Manchester and Liza (David) Santoro of Vernon, eight grandchildren April Kelly, Kelly Michaud, Krystal Delorge, Nicholas Valentine, Alicia McKernan, Jay Valentine, Tyler and Brandon Valentine, five great grandchildren; Jordyn, Taylor, Maya, Ellie and Connor. Numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; Christie and Marie Jennings, her two beloved sons: Christie and Vincent Valentine, her three sisters Ann, Helen, and Trudy and the love of her life Robert C. Russell.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Saturday May 6, 2017 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Barry Andrusik officiating at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield, CT. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory may be made to The Seeing Eye, P.O. Box 375 Morristown, NJ 07963-0375 or online at www.SeeingEye.org.
