Obituary for Patrick Allen Hart, Sr.

Patrick Allen  Hart, Sr.
Patrick Allen Hart, Sr., of Enfield, entered into Eternal Life, at the age of 74, with loved ones at his side, on Sunday Dec. 11, 2016, also the 18th anniversary date of his beloved wife Jeanette (Gagnon) Hart’s passing. Patrick was born on April 5, 1942 in Sturgis, S. Dakota, to the late Clarence and Frances (Hendrikson) Hart. He had resided in Enfield for the past 39 years and in Newington, CT and Fernwood Idaho before that. Patrick was a proud veteran with the US Navy, who saw action in the Cuban Missile Crisis, a true Patriotic American who always had the American Flag flying high in his yard. Prior to retiring Patrick was employed as a custodian with the Town of Windsor Board of Education for over 15 years. A mountain man who loved the outdoors, as an avid hunter and fisherman he especially enjoyed doing those activities with his sons and loved spending time with his family and dogs. Patrick was also an avid Red Sox & N.E. Patriots fan. He was a member of the AMVETS and the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his three sons; Patrick Hart, Jr. of New Hartford, Daniel Hart & his wife Robin of Enfield, and Michael Hart of New Hartford, his ten beloved grandchildren and ten cherished great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother; Clarence Hart of Moscow, Idaho, and two sisters; Linda Hart of Raymond Washington and Penny Pannell of Moscow, Idaho, along with many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents & wife he was predeceased by granddaughter, Hope A. Hartnett, a brother, Donald Hart and a sister, Georgia Young.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Friday Dec. 16, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield, CT. Interment will be at the convenience of his family.
