Doris (LeBlanc) Sharon peacefully passed away on Monday Oct. 31, 2016 Joseph’s Residence Enfield, CT. Born in New Brunswick, Canada December 25, 1914. She was predeceased by her husband George Sharon
who shared the same birthday of December 25th. They lived in Somers, CT most of their adult life.
Doris and George were devout members of All Saints Church in Somersville. She was a member of The Catholic Daughters and donated her time and talent when it was needed. Doris was a wonderful cook and her meals were enjoyed by her close family and friends. Among her many hobbies were sewing, gardening, traveling and arts and crafts. Doris was generous with her time always helping others who were in need. Family was very important to her particularly with her many brothers and sisters and their families.
She leaves her son; John & his wife Jean of Enfield, her sister Andrea Gaudet of Glastonbury and sister-in-law Ethel Bourque of Amston, CT. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren; Noah Sharon & his wife Amy of Barkhamsted, CT. Stephen Sharon & companion Sherry Coburn of Burlington, VT, Jonathan Sharon of Edwards, CO, Robert & Ginger Smith, William and Eva Smith, David and Kathryn Lavallle and Ellen Ludemann all of Enfield, CT. She also loved her great-grandchildren; Samuel Sharon, Benjamin Sharon, Luke Sharon, Hannah, and Chelsea Smith, Joshua and Bryanna Olden, Ryan Smith, Christopher and Zachary Ramsdell and Megan Stewart. Doris loved in a special way and was proud of her two great great-grandchildren; Tegan Rose Ramsdell and Cameryn Olden who she was always concerned about and always wanted to know how they were doing. Doris leaves many nieces and nephews both in the United States and Canada. Doris’s family would especially like to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s Residence/Little Sisters of the Poor for the exceptional and compassionate care given to her over the years.
Calling hours will be from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm on Friday Nov. 4, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Residence/ Little Sisters of the Poor followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Chapel to be celebrated at 1:00 pm Internment will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Joseph’s Residence/ Little Sisters of the Poor, 1365 Enfield St. Enfield, CT 06082.
