Joseph J. Cusimano, 91, of Enfield, died peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2016. Born in New York on August 1, 1925, Joe was the son of the late Joseph A. and Lillian (Scavotto) Cusimano. A lifelong resident of Enfield, Joseph was employed with Hallmark Cards and retired in 1987. He was a communicant of St. Patrick Church and a member of the VFW Rinaldi-Fede Post. Joe enjoyed his daily visits to Dunkin Donuts where he would meet with friends. Joe proudly served his country in the US Army during WW II. He is survived by his beloved wife of seventy years, Adeline (Cimino) Cusimano; his children, Karen Rider of West Hartford, and his former son-in-law Kenneth Rider, Joseph Cusimano of Enfield and John Cusimano of Stafford Springs; two grandchildren, Amy Barron and her husband, Mark, and Kenneth Rider and his wife, Alison; and four great grandchildren, Braden and Ryan Barron, and Emmy and Mari Rider. Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 by 9:15 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, for a procession to St. Patrick Church where the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. , followed by burial with military honors at St. Patrick Cemetery. Joe’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, CT 06082. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
