Stanley J. Gnacek, 94, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Life on Monday June 27, 2016 at the Suffield House, in Suffield, CT. Stanley was born on March 9, 1922, in Easthampton, MA, son of the late Jozef and Mary (Bigda) Gnacek. Stanley had resided in Enfield for the past 30 years. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting in 1949 from Rider College, Trenton, NJ. Stanley proudly served his country with the Army Air Corp. during WWII. Prior to retiring he was employed as an accountant with Atlantic Lumber Co., in Boston, MA for many years. He was a communicant of St. Adalbert Church in Enfield.
Stanley is survived by his two nephews; William Gnacek and Edward Gnacek both of Huntsville, AL, Along with his parents he was predeceased by a brother Walter Gnacek.
Calling hours for Stanley will be Today from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral services will take place Sat. July 2, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in St. Adalbert Church in Enfield. Interment will be private in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Easthampton, MA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his memory may be made to St. Adalbert Church 90 Alden Ave., Enfield, CT. 06082
