Carolyn Ann (Mullen) Twiss (70), of Enfield, loving wife of over 51 years to Guilbert Twiss, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015. Born in Kalispell, Montana on October 2, 1945, the daughter of the late Arthur and Agnes (Frolin) Mullen, Carolyn grew up in Kalispell, MT, graduating from Flathead High School in 1963 and lived in Seattle, WA and Anchorage, AK before moving to CT in 1974. Carolyn worked as an administrative assistant for Phoenix, GE, Genworth and Sun Life, retiring in 2010 after 24 years of service. She enjoyed knitting, reading, cooking, traveling and the theatre, but her greatest joy was spending time with her wonderful family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Carolyn is survived by her three sons: Guilbert and his wife Joanne of Pittsfield, MA; Kevin and his wife Kelly of Enfield; Cory and his fiancee Susan of Somers, and five beloved grandchildren: Derek, Haley, Reeve, Kyle and Kylie; a sister Janice Loveall and her husband Ron of Kalispell, MT and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Gloria Gann and her brother Lee Mullen.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 2nd from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield. Funeral service will be held on December 3rd at 11:00 am, followed by burial in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Carolyn's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
