Obituary for Gary G. "Gomez" Albert

Gary “Gomez” G. Albert, 60, of Enfield, succumbed to his courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday Oct. 28, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. He was the husband of 14 years to Brenda (Bagley) Albert. Gary was born on Nov. 19, 1954 in Hartford, CT. the son of Josephine (Jones) Greene and the late Elwood Albert, he resided in Enfield most of his life. He served with the U.S. Marines Corp. during the Vietnam War. Gary was a self-employed painter for many years. Gary loved his Harley, golfing, jigsaw puzzles, and fires in the backyard with family and friends, along with his Sunday “guy” day at the legion.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 80, Enfield and the Grey’s AA Club, Enfield.
Besides his wife, Brenda and mother Josephine he is survived by his daughter Bryelle Albert of Enfield, two granddaughters Demitria Crease and Aavry Albert, also his siblings Sandra Montie of Broad Brook, Linda Spencer (Jason) of Enfield, Joey Albert (Rose) Enfield, Nicky Clisby (Kevin) of VA and Laurie Cassada of Brooklyn, CT, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He also leaves his buddy “Black Jack” Albert the cat. Relatives and friends may gather with his family on Saturday Nov. 7, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 4 p.m. with Pastor Barry Andrusik officiating at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. A celebration of his life will be held at 12:00 (noon) Sunday Nov. 8, 2015 at the American Legion 566 Enfield Street, Enfield.
