Obituary for Lois A. Vetro (Kappenman)
Lois A. (Kappenman) Vetro, 82, of Enfield, entered into eternal life on Friday June 19, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore Vetro (9/4/92). Lois was born on Aug. 12, 1932 in Mitchell, South Dakota, daughter of the late Frederick and Kathleen (Donahue) Kappenman. She had resided in Enfield for the past 60 years and in West Springfield, MA before that. Lois was a member of the Enfield Moose Lodge #1525 Ladies Auxiliary and was an avid Red Sox and UConn Huskies Women’s Basketball fan and enjoyed reading, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Lois is survived by her four loving children; Judy Vetro, with whom she lived, of Enfield, Joanne Tranter & husband David of East Longmeadow, MA, Janice Kohler & husband James of Enfield and Salvatore Vetro & wife Anita of Enfield, her seven beloved grandchildren; Nicole Kohler, Megan, Kristen, James, Amanda, Samantha and Jonathan, and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings; Judith Kappenman, SSJ of Chicopee, MA, Sharon Baldarelli of Agawam, MA and Patrick Kappenman of Andover, CT, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by three brothers; Thomas, James and Terence Kappenman.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Tuesday June 23 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT. Interment will then take place in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery in Enfield. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Johnson Memorial Cancer Center 142 Hazard Ave. Enfield, CT 06082.
