Obituary for Francis Mario Nai Sr.

Francis Mario Nai Sr. 86 of Enfield entered into peace on Thursday July 10, 2014 in Enfield. He was born in Windsor Locks the son of the late Frank and Angelina (Diana) Nai. Mario was a resident Enfield for over sixty years and prior to retiring had been employed with the Town of Enfield Parks and Recreation for over thirty years. Mario was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the John Maciolek Post 154 American Legion, Enfield. He was an avid Yankee and Green Bay Packer fan. As a young man Mario played semi pro baseball and enjoyed sporting events. Mario, a member of St. Martha’s Parish, had a deep devotion to the Blessed Mother. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Sandra Broderick Nai in 2012. Mario is survived by two sons Francis Nai , Jr and his wife Michelle, of Enfield and a son Michael Nai of Enfield. He also leaves three grandchildren Anthony, Joseph, and Stephanie. Mario is survived by a brother Peter and his wife Josie of Enfield, a brother Jerry of Suffield, a sister Theresa Stoddard of Suffield a sister Angel and her husband Edward McCarthy of Enfield and many niece’s nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and Charles and three sisters, Frances Sic, Mary Landry, and Phyllis Fisher. Francis’s family will receive relatives and friends Monday, July 14, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT. Funeral services will be held Tuesday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Martha Church 214 Brainard Rd Enfield with Military Honors to follow. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Patrick’s King St Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund 11921 Rockville Pike Suite 300 Rockville MD 20852.
