Obituary for Joseph J. Nieroda

Joseph J.  Nieroda
Joseph J. Nieroda, of Enfield, entered into eternal life at the age of 60 on Friday (January 25, 2013). He was born on June 24, 1952 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Joseph and Stephanie (Guzauskas) Nieroda and resided in Enfield most of his life. Prior to retiring in 2007 Joseph was employed for over 20 years with the State of Connecticut Department of Corrections as a Corrections Officer. He was a member of the NRA and Enfield Elks Lodge B.P.O.E No. 2222.
Joe was a gun enthusiast, as well as an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan.
He is survived by his five children; John M. Nieroda (Brenda) of Enfield, Tracey L. Nieroda-Morin (William) of Broad Brook, Nicole A. Drury (David) of Enfield, Melinda A. Cross of Enfield and Kelly M. Audette (Jae) of Somerset, MA, his 12 loving and cherished grandchildren; Tyler, Nathan, Abigayle, Chelsea, John, Jr., Joseph, Joshua, Logan, Colin, Avary, Libby & Maebel, his two beloved beagles; Bonnie and Jack. He is also survived by a brother; Stephen Nieroda (Debra) of Enfield, a nephew Stephen Nieroda, along with many cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Saturday (February 2, 2013) from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, followed by a Memorial and Remembrance Service with Fr. John Melnick officiating.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his memory may be made Enfield Animal Control 293 Elm St Enfield CT 06082.
