Obituary for Salvatore "Sal" Tarascio

Salvatore "Sal"  Tarascio
Salvatore “Sal” F. Tarascio, 84, formerly of Enfield, entered into eternal rest Sunday (November 4, 2012). He was the beloved husband of the late Elfriede (Seidler) Tarascio. Sal was born in Winsted, CT on June 4, 1928, the son of the late Rosario and Rose (Formica) Tarascio. He resided in Enfield, CT most of his life and was employed at Hamilton Standard for more than 30 years. Sal was a member of St. Martha’s Church, Enfield. He was also a member of the Washington Irving Council 50 Knights of Columbus, Enfield, member Rev. William Kilcoyne Assemble 4th Degree and a former member of the color guard. Sal served his country honorably with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Sal is survived by a son, Michael A. Tarascio. Besides his wife and parents, he is also predeceased by a son, Ronald A. Tarascio.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family on Thursday (November 8, 2012) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Friday (November 9, 2012) at 10:00 a.m. with burial immediately following in Hazardville Cemetery with military honors. Memorial donations in Sal’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 or CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT.
